I'm thinking of adding cowls (short scarves that wrap around your neck) to the donation items. I have made several for next year's Christmas gifts and added custom (homemade) buttons to them; they have turned out so nice and use about the same amount of yarn as a hat that this might be a really great starter project for beginning knitters that join the group. Just an idea!!! Will post on the knit hats page link.

Was listening to Air One or KLOVE and heard something about knitting for Afghanistan babies, but I cant find the link to it anywhere. This would be a great addition to our local stuff if it isnt too complicated. Have to check into this further...see Links page
